breakfast was a coffee pot, toaster with loaf of bread, and muffins
Bed was standard, sheets and blanket were every clean. One thing I liked the air conditioner was very quiet.
One chair in our room was old and springs shot, not comfortable. T. V. Picture was distorted looking.
It was filthy, insufficient linens for 2 travelers, towels were damp, wall air conditioner was inadequate for the small room, remodeling debris blocked enterance, and made sitting on the private balcony impossible. All windows and mirrors were overtly dirty with multiple splatter droplets, soap dish was dirty. All of this was after I called the front desk and told them upon entering the room there were soiled linen in the bathroom. She was in bathroom 10 minutes but never attended the dirty mirror.
The staff seemed friendly but I was rather upset when I returned to my room after being gone all day and found that the cleaning people did not close my door all the way so it would lock. I had a laptop and two tablets that I had put away in the drawer since there was no place to lock them up. Good thing they were still there when I got back. Pretty poor on their part. There wasn't any apology when I reported it. I definitely would not stay there again. They also seemed a little stingy on the coffee they left in the room. There was a cigarette burn in the blanket, they should have replaced that.
They had a room available when I needed a room. The water was really hot which was good (though maybe not for everyone).
This place looks awful. There was a tarp over most of the main section and it looks pretty run down. The boards on the balcony and walkway were scary. The beds were absolutely awful. So hard so if you like to sleep in the floor (which actually felt softer) then you'll be fine. They have sliding glass doors to enter the room. When we arrived ours was not locked. The window was open but it had a screen. There was a dirty washcloth wrapped up in the shower curtain but it was late and I didn't feel like dealing with it. I'm not sure how they clean. I had a small dog and he was very interested in certain spots even though he didn't have an accidents. The room did not smell though. The shower head is low so if you're over 5-5 be prepared to bend. The water temp was really hot (which was good). It's really close to the bridge but the traffic didn't really bother me. The free wi-fi was from the hotel next door. It was there when I needed something that was pet friendly but I'll never stay there again.
The place was under construction, we had to walk over material to get to our room. The roof over our room had a tarp on it!! Staff was rude!! No cars in any of the parking spaces, sign said vacancy, when we asked to be changed to another room the rude lady at the desk said they were full. We left and drove 55 miles south to get a place. Can't believe that this crap hole would even be on the Booked.net option list. Wouldn't let a dog sleep there!!! This review only lets you select certain faces in some categories and I am sure the review number is above a 1. I would rate it a minus 5, would have slept outside before paying $135.00!!! Save your money or stay someplace else!!!
Bed was nice room was clean
There were earwigs crawling on the walls. And I got double charged for the room. Witch I don't think is right. I paid it on here then when I got there I was made to pay it again. Someone needs to give me my money back that wasn't right.
Cheapest place. Bike ride is literally seconds away from the bridge.
Rooms were dirty, tub did not drain. Staff not friendly. Housekeeping was poor.
did not have cots if you have more then 4 people
The location was great. The beds were comfortable and I slept well.
The staff is critical of how customers complain about the property to them. Staff reported the Mackinac Bridge, which is the main attraction the area, is stupid. I was never informed of breakfast in the lobby. The room wasn't clean in detail areas. The beds were clean. The property is dated and needs paint, decor and hardware updates. Still has a tube TV!
Location. Welcoming staff.
Bathroom sink caulking coming off. Tub appeared dirty. When I pulled back the blankets on my bed there was a long hair on the mattress near my pillow. That was a tad disconcerting and made me wonder if my linens had been changed. Plus my sheets had really bad stains on them. Maybe those sheets should not be used when they are that stained? Was told on website there was free wifi, but wasn't given code and staff left so no wifi access.
Cleanliness, conditions of room.
Shower was warm, bedding and towels were clean.
Continental breakfast was a joke, store brand bread, butter, and a toaster. No where to eat but an outdoor table. Room hadn't been updated in 40 years. Run, don't walk away from this place
Our room was highly outdated. There was a musty smell and my nose instantly stuffed up and didn't unplug until we left in the morning. The beds were hard and the pillows thin. The bathroom was dirty and I had to clean up the toilet and the shower before we could use them. In the morning we waited for someone in the lobby that we could speak with about the room. We had called with no answer...and waited in the lobby for 5 minutes with no sight of a manager. We were very disappointed.
